Without stiffeners, the only thing that keeps your windshield frame in position (and paint on your doors) is the thin rubber that glues to the windshield frame. There are many different roll cage designs available, so select a stiffener that will allow you to adjust your windshield-to-door gap and secure your windshield frame.

For use with seat belt bar (half cage). Made of 304 stainless steel, the rods are 35″ long center to center, with about 2″ of adjustment.  One end bolts to the stock windshield frame, and the other end bolts to a seat belt bar (half cage or 4-point) with the provided bolt. Ball studs make them flexible, and they are adjustable 2.5″ and lock with a jam nut.  WE ONLY USE FK HEIMS NOT “CHEAP JUNK” HEIMS.

The mounting ring option is really handy, as this allows you bolt the stiffeners on without drilling or welding. Even better, they are adjustable using many hole options – but once you pick the mounting position, you can still rotate the ring to fine tune the tension.

The rods are intentionally made with a small diameter, so you cannot use them as a handle to pull yourself into the Bronco or to brace yourself in the event of a rollover. (Using larger rods might encourage someone to use their stiffeners in this manner, which could lead to severe injury or even loss of your digits.)
