Canvas Soft Top for early Bronco

Description

After years of design and many prototypes, we now have a top that we would like to have on our Broncos! This version comes with removable dark-tinted windows. You have 20 different canvas colors to choose from**, or you can mix and match colors for a cool, unique look. With this top, you can use stock-type door rubber to seal stock doors, or any door that will seal against the stock top. This is not just some cheap rod, but an actual frame with a rain gutter. The whole frame is strong enough to hold a roof rack with a considerable amount of weight. Roof rack mounting brackets are welded to every frame, should you ever decide to add this upgrade. If you look closely, you will see that the rear of the top has the same slope as the stock top and the windows follow that same line. Because of the way we designed the frame, it allowed us to not have a bar going through the side window, which gives it a cleaner look.

*When installing the top, factory windshield and bed side holes are used to hold the top in place, but you will need to drill 5 small screw holes on the inside to mount the stainless steel tailgate lip protector. Your windshield frame must be secured so you can adjust the door-to-windshield frame gap and hold it in that position. A windshield frame stiffener is usually used between the windshield frame and roll cage to achieve this – otherwise, the windshield frame will be pulled back as you try to tighten the canvas, hitting the door and keeping the canvas loose. Our soft top is designed to replace a hard top. We use all factory type seals for windshield, bed and upper door seals, if your seals are good you can reuse them, if not order the top install kit (66-50152). This includes top to windshield, top to bed and upper door rubber.

Your top will be shipped on a pallet, We have found that this is the most cost effective The average shipping cost is $200-$350. Due to the destructive nature of Fedex or UPS, it requires us to use 3 oversized boxes to insure the parts make it safely. This makes it more costly with a better chance parts get lost or damaged verses truck freight.

RUNNING WITHOUT A ROLL CAGE IS VERY DANGEROUS. We do not recommend using our or any soft top without a roll cage. Our framework is very strong, and it will support a lot of weight in the optional basket or roof top tent, but that is supported weight – not the same type of force as a roll over.

NOTE: We have frames in stock, once you place your order and make your color and window option selection, They start working on the canvas which usually takes about a week. 

* Please let us know if you have a 66-68 half cab. For some reason Ford made a 3rd windshield bolt pattern and we have noticed it is usually the early 1/2 cab. We can supply you with a windshield riser that has no holes, so you can drill to match.

**Due to the care of white fabric, we do not recommend purchasing the Arctic White top. Therefore, we will not accept any return, exchange, or credit any purchase of a white top for any reason.
