The Gen 1 11-14 coyote does not require a vacuum system the make the engine run correctly, but if you want to make it easy to tap in to the vacuum port so you can add in brake and fuel regulator connections, you will want to use kit #11-83204.

 

The Gen 2 15-16.5 Coyote Our vacuum connection kit will give you the vacuum you need for the engine to run. Also we added provisions for the vacuum source, for the fuel pressure regulator and power brakes if you are using it. The vacuum power brake port can be plugged if not needed. Any unused port can also be used to add a vacuum gauge if you want or need to. This kit also has connections to provide filtered air from the intake to the canisters at the rear of the engine, so this kit has additional parts included. This kit mounts to the rear of the engine for a cleaner install, making it a little bit of work to install it once the engine is installed. It only takes a minute to install with the engine still in the crate or with the body off.      #11-83201

The Gen 2 15-18 Coyote needs a vacuum source to run correctly. If you do not make the connection, the butterflies in the intake can’t be controlled so the engine runs good, then it pops and back fires or will run fine until you hit the gas. Sometimes it won’t start at all.

The Gen 3 18-up Coyote is like the Gen 1 and does not require a vacuum system the make the engine run correctly. If you want to make it easy to tap in to the vacuum port so you can add in brake and fuel regulator connections you will want to use kit #11-83204

Don’t listen to someone that tells you, you don’t need to run vacuum to the regulator. Yes you don’t need it to start the engine but what it does is under full throttle, it opens the regulator all the way up to get maximum fuel flow.

*THIS KIT IS BASED ON A MUSTANG CRATE ENGINE, NOT A TAKE OUT ENGINE. Take outs may have stock plumbing already installed.
