Timing cover swap on a coyote remember to clean all the surfaces very well, apply fresh silicone.

When changing from the F150 Coyote timing cover to the Mustang timing cover I want to make sure to clean all the surfaces very well be very careful not to get any trash in the timing area or the timing chain. When you get it clean, then you want to add fresh silicone wear components come together. The new timing chain already comes with a recessed rubber gasket so you don’t have to silicone the entire surface.

If you’re using an F150 Coyote and you want to use our serpentine kit currently that requires you to replace the timing cover with the Mustang timing cover so you need to remove quite a lot of stuff to make that possible. You have to remove the valve covers, the wiring harness, the water pump, the cooling wipe pipe and the harmonic bouncer to get to the timing cover.
