looking. Built of all new components, these columns provide tight, smooth
steering as well as convenient 5-position tilt adjustment to suit the
preference of any driver and to make entry and exit easier. Also featured are
self canceling turn signal switch, 4-way flashers, horn wiring and an billet
aluminum knob & shifter kit. Why spend hundreds of dollars and countless hours
refurbishing a junkyard tilt column when you can get a brand new one, with all
new components? Columns are available with column shifter for automatic
transmissions (shown above ) and without a shifter for Broncos with floor shifters (bottom).
This column uses a strong 1" DD shaft, an industry standard 3-7/8" GM wiring connector.
Dirrect connect to Centech accepts '69 or newer GM steering wheels and optional adapters are available for other applications. Column comes in unfinished bare steel--prime and paint it your favorite color.

| FRAME REINFORCEMENT KIT
Sometimes our 30+ year old Broncos can develop cracks in the frame where the power steering gear bolts on. Its not hard to imagine the stresses this part of the frame is constantly being cycled through. Adding larger tires and more powerful steering gears can make the problem even worse. This kit adds needed reinforcement to the critical area of the frame where the steering gear attaches. Home fabricators have been building these for years for their own Broncos, and now we're making it easy for anyone to strengthen or repair this part of their Bronco's frame with minimal fabrication (although installation will require grinding and welding). The beefy frame reinforcement plate is drilled for both the stock Bronco and the popular F-150 power steering pump. Rosette weld the unused holes for added strength. Also included are three (3) .25" wall bolt tubes, three (3) grade 8 hex head cap screws and three (3) grade C locknuts. This reinforcement kit is a recommended repair for Broncos that have already developed cracks in the frame, as well as a preventative measure for those that haven't yet.

| COMPLETE POWER STEERING KIT
Finally, a complete, reliable, all Ford power steering upgrade is available for Early Broncos. This complete kit uses the popular F-series 4X4 steering gear with 4X2 internals that we've featured on our Tech Tips page for years, which countless Early Bronco owners have used. With this kit, we've assembled everything for you...no need to go scrounging through junk yards! And these aren't junk yard parts. All components are new or remanufactured. Kit includes the steering box, power steering pump with mounting bracket and hardware, steering column U-joint and yokes, and hoses. You will re-use your existing pitman arm. All you need to supply is a belt to turn the pump (and a crankshaft pully with extra groove, if necessary). This F-150 4x4 box will replace the much longer 4x2 box that you may have now. For an additional cost, we will swap the kit's power steering pump for our Heavy Duty Power Steering Pump (see description below).

HEAVY DUTY POWER STEERING PUMP
Larger tires and severe off-road conditions can push your Bronco's stock power steering pump to the limit of its performance. Reduced effectiveness or even failure of the power assist in your steering system can occur. This is an excellent upgrade both as a preventative measure and as a replacement for worn out stock units.

"TIE ROD OVER" BUSHINGS
 |
| B.C. Broncos tie rod and drag link bushings, from left to right: TRA-1 and TRO-1. |
A popular modification to Early Broncos is the "tie rod over" conversion. This modification flips the tie rod over, and locates it ON TOP of the steering knuckles, rather than under them, the way the Bronco came from the factory. This modification lifts the tie rod about three inches higher than stock, where it is much less likely to clash with rocks and other trail obstacles. This conversion also helps reduce drag link angle, thereby reducing bump-steer.
This results in fewer hangups and bent tie rods off-road, and a more stable ride on-road. The picture at left shows the Tie Rod Over Bushings being used to put the tie rod on top of the knuckles. The application in the picture is with F-150 tie rod and drag link (available below), as well as the F-150 power steering box, knuckle and disk brakes mounted on the Bronco Dana 44 front end. Notice the tie rod is about 3" higher than stock and the drag link has less angle. The lesser angle decreases bump steer.
If You Want...
- F-150 knuckles & stock Bronco tie rod (stock tie-rod psoition)
- You need two TRA-1 Tie Rod Adapter bushings.
- Tie rod over conversion with F-150 tie rod & drag link
- You need two TRO-1 Tie Rod Over bushings and one TRO-2 Drag Link bushing. This will also require reaming your knuckles and drag link, and the F-150 tie rod and drag link will need shortening. This conversion works with either the stock Bronco or the F-150 steering knuckles.

F-150 TIE ROD CONVERSION
The F-150 tie rod and drag link are easy to find, affordable, and stronger than the stock Bronco equipment. To fit the Early Bronco Dana 44 front end, the F-150 tie rod and drag link have to be shortened. We offer the shortened tie rod and drag link as a kit, or we can perform the necessary modifications on parts that you supply. Many who have acquired the parts for an F-150 front disc brake and/or power steering conversion may already have the necessary parts on hand.
